Washington State Workers Compensation

Core Medical Center takes the “work” out of worker’s compensation. We also accept Washington State workers’ compensation and occupational medicine claims, too!

Washington State workers’ compensation and occupational medicine claim patients can seek treatments out of all three of our offices – the two Blue Springs, MO locations at 1104, 1106, 1131 W, and 110 W Main Street, as well as our Overland Park, Kansas offices at 10520 Barkley Street. We accept Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) patients for physical therapy, occupational therapy, pain management, impairment ratings, and independent medical evaluations.

We are the only medical center in the Kansas City area that offers this.

Washington State Workers Compensation In Blue Springs & Overland Park

If you are injured at work you are entitled to workers’ compensation benefits from the Washington State Fund, through L&I. These benefits cover medical expenses, as well as a portion of your missed work, due to on-the-job injury.

Core Medical Center has skilled and experienced case managers dedicated to helping our patients fill out all the needed forms, so they get their workers’ compensation claim approved in a timely manner. We are also always available for any and all questions about your claim.

Medical Treatments & Care

Washington State’s Labor & Industries (L&I) is liable to cover only “proper and necessary” care linked to an injured worker’s treatment and diagnosis. Treatment plans are aimed to be rehabilitative and curative and can wrap up once a worker is “stable” and able to head back to work.

HIPAA Works Differently With Workers’ Compensation

An employee injured on the job and looking for workers’ compensation benefits will have to sign a “Report of Accident” form or “Provider’s Initial Report”, which permits the release of medical information and records to L&I. This eliminates the need for additional forms and allows for a smoother exchange of information to help with the process of claims.

If you are a Washington state worker in need of compensation for an injury or condition that occurred while working, please contact Core Medical Center, today!
